Opening Day Magic

We knew opening day would be special, but we had no idea just how full our hearts (and shop!) would be.

From the moment we unlocked the door for the first time, it felt like Parkville showed up as if it had been waiting for this moment with us. Instagram reels captured the first customers stepping inside, smiling, exploring yarn, and signing up for Stitch Club right away. Everyone seemed to bring warmth with them — like friends arriving to your home rather than customers entering a store.

We spent that first week organizing threads, greeting faces, and hearing story after story about why people were drawn to needlepoint, to this space, and to each other. Some came because they wanted a new hobby. Some came because needlepoint felt comforting. Some came because they remembered their mom doing it once. And so many simply came to be a part of something new in Parkville.
